Nina Seigelstein, M.D.
Dr. Seigelstein, an expert gynecologic surgeon, specializes in minimally invasive surgery. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY—a division of Cornell University Medical College. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and received numerous clinical and scholastic awards, including induction into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Seigelstein graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA.
Dr. Seigelstein combined her love of adventure and travel with the practice of Ob-Gyn, while working in Tasmania, Australia and on the Navajo Reservation at Fort Defiance Indian Hospital in Fort Defiance, AZ. She also participated in Gynecological Surgery Mission trips to Ladakh in the Indian Himalayas and Ghana, Africa. When not working abroad, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ was her home.
Dr. Seigelstein’s enduring passion has been to bring quality women’s healthcare to underserved women in Sierra Leone, Africa. She is the Founder and President of One World Women’s Health, where she organized and led numerous mission trips to Makeni, Sierra Leone, performed gynecologic surgeries and provided education and training since 2006. Through her nonprofit, Dr. Seigelstein spearheaded, designed, built, equipped and staffed a fully functional, state of the art Maternity Ward at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Makeni, Sierra Leone.
